New Research Project: SpectralAIge

We are happy to have secured our involvement in the groundbreaking SpectralAIge research project! This joint project aims to develop the world’s first spectroscopic measurement system capable of assessing process-related material aging in plastics quickly and precisely. With the power of artificial intelligence (AI), we aim to enhance the processing and use of secondary plastics by identifying and sorting aged materials more effectively.
The insights gained from SpectralAIge will enable the identification of degraded materials in both closed PET bottle cycles and plastic sorting systems. By detecting and sorting out excessively aged plastics early on, we can significantly improve the quality of recyclates, paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient circular economy.
