See beyond the Visible: Educate yourself on Hyperspectral Imaging in our Library

Just as every person has a unique fingerprint, every material has its own spectral signature.
The image below illustrates this concept: A hyperspectral camera captures the intesity of reflected light from materials, creating unique spectral curves – just like human fingerprints. This allows us to distinguish different materials and their properties with incredible precision.

Example: Plastic Recycling
The two other images show how hyperspectral imaging can identify different types of plastic flakes based on their spectral characteristics. In this case, it differentiates between PE and PET plastic flakes that are challenging to distinguish from each other with the human eye.

Want to learn more about hyperspectral imaging and its applications? Explore our online HSI Library to learn how it works, access in-depth resources like application notes, white papers and discover the many real-world applications of hyperspectral imaging.
